Zouak and other Furniture
Zouak is hand painted motifs on wood. This range of Zouak furniture and mirrors is hand painted in Marrakech by Said Blani, who inherited his craft from his father and grandfather.
The Moroccan pottery comes from Safi, the capital of pottery in western Morocco. We also have pottery made by Jim Iveson, a local artist in Gloucestershire.
Rugs & Carpets
We sell handmade Berber rugs and carpets. Our carpets are all hand woven by women in different villages and are gathered in a cooperative in the centre of Morocco, with which we have been working for more than 12 years.
We have several different types and sizes of woollen carpets: Zimour, Ait Warda and hand knotted carpets.
Zimour has more linear patterns and a few colours. Ait Warda has very intricate and colourful patterns, tightly woven and double-sided.
We sell a variety of skins and parchment, all ethically sourced from the UK, Iceland, Tibet and Morocco
The dyed cloth from Mauritania is worn by women when going outside their homes.
