About Golden Fleece

The Golden Fleece Trading Company was set up by Larry and Juliette Leighton in 1999.

We trade directly with quality artisans in Morocco, selling their handmade goods from our warehouse and a variety of street markets and events in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

Juliette was born in Morocco, but in her teens left for France with her family. Each time she returns there she finds a renewed discovery of her people and native culture.

Larry brought an intimate relationship with Morocco into their partnership. He first got a nose for leather in Fes in his 20s, and subsequently worked with the medium for over a quarter of a century, during which time he became an associated member of the guild of leather workers.

Larry died in October 2019, and is sorely missed by his family and friends, as well as much of Stroud. He still lives in our hearts.
